Continuing Assignment (Due Monday!): read Chapters 21-27 of Jane Eyre, prepare for Jane Eyre Vocab Quiz #2, which will happen Tuesday.

Reading Out Loud! Although students are likely at different places in the book, they all will benefit from reading Chapter 23 out loud. Have various students read out loud (British accents are optional but oh so enjoyable). This chapter is one of the most fun, most melodramatic of the book. I expect those not reading aloud at any given moment to follow along attentively in their texts.

After finishing Chapter 23, students have the remainder of the period to read silently and study vocab.

Work Time: Essays and Big Books Current Event Speech #2 -- all students speak! See above for rules
