--Hey! At the beginning of the 2003-2004 academic
year, The National Forensic League officially renamed its newest debate
division. Referred to as "Controversy" and "Ted Turner" debate during its
inaugural season (and still referred to by those names by various coaches),
this newest debate division now bears the blessedly clear and appropriate
name "Public Forum Debate." As you search the web for information on this
topic, keep in mind that those other names are still out there.
